Clara
Hammerich
Clara Hammerich is a
Soroptimist name, which is still remembered here and abroad. She was a
charter-member of our club, she was a President of the Club and of the
Danish Union as well.
As President of the
European Federation she
chaired the World Congress in Copenhagen in
1952.
During her entire
Soroptimist life she established clubs and unions in many countries and she
worked for contact and friendship between Soroptimists. In Denmark she
organized or co-organized 22 clubs.
In 1951, not long after the Second World
War,
Clara Hammerich initiated the revival of the Soroptimist Club in Berlin.
